Elizabeth's success |

Elizabeth has now been in her apartment for over three weeks and every day her apartment looks more and more like a home. She now has a a bed donated from one of the case managers here at CASS, one from Ikea with a head board and foot board, no less. She also received a mini stereo system from the CASS donations. She's especially excited about the stereo because it has a CD player. After I gave her the stereo and came back a few hours later with her bed, she told me, excitedly, how she turned it up as loud as it could go and was thoroughly impressed. She is taking exceptionally good care of her apartment and has now stocked her cupboards and refrigerator up with food. She continues to go to see her counselor for one on one talk therapy and is also attending two therapeutic groups a week. She can be seen most often however, at the local coffee shop where there are some recently arrived kittens. From what I understand, she is playing with them on a daily basis and we are hoping to find a donor to help her with the pet deposit, so she may take one of them home. All she needs now is the couch that will likely arrive next week, via CASS donations and some pictures to pretty up the place. Once all that is place, it should feel like home.
